Abstract. The possibility of a drift of charged particles in a non-newtonian fluid by a spatially homogeneous time-periodic and non-sine-shaped electric field is proved theoretically. The phenomenon may be important in the transfer accompanied interaction between living cells and dispersive particles and also between intracellular organelles, as well as for developing separation methods.
